I feel like Dylan personally preferred the fast version but he (and the producers) knew that the slow version was guaranteed to be a hit (which it was) so they ended up compromising and ended up with both on. Just a theory. Fast version seems much more "Dylan" to me. I've been a bit harsh on the slow version, haha.
